Snow Dog on the Blog
This is Timber in the snow at Truckee. We go skiing almost every weekend, and Timber comes along. Timber sticks his head in the snow and gets snow all over his face. One time we tried to put him on a sled, but he jumped off. He doesn’t like the sled because he goes too fast and it was really steep. I hit my face in the snow twice when I sledded. That hurt a little bit.
Even though it is snowing today, ski season is over for us. Timber will have a good time if he comes with us on other trips.

Cousins Lou and Pepper have never even seen snow.
They suffer a lot of deprivation.
Anyway, snow would probably frighten them initially–but not for long.

I think Timber is actually a sled dog, maybe he would like to pull the sled instead of riding in it?

Carly,
I had a dog when I lived in Minnesota called Oliver (after Oliver Cromwell http://www.olivercromwell.org/)
Oli was a very big Newfoundland (http://www3.sympatico.ca/newfydog/images/cruisercarting.JPG) and he weighed 190 lbs !!!!!!!!
At any rate, he had webbed feat and was a very good swimmer, and he also loved the snow because he had a thick coat and got too hot in the summer time. Mark
