Husky Puppy

Did you know that Alaskan Huskies are not a true breed? It’s just a fancy name for a working sled dog. They are a mix of border collies, german shephards, Siberian huskies, and Alaskan malamutes. They are fluffy and have tons of fur, probably three coats. They shed a lot of fur in the Spring. In the Fall they get their fur back so they have a warm winter coat just like my dog, Timber. I like them because they are cute and fluffy, but they aren’t a good dog for California because it’s too hot here.

Timber Loves Snow!

This is Timber in the snow at Truckee. We go skiing almost every weekend, and Timber comes along. Timber sticks his head in the snow and gets snow all over his face. One time we tried to put him on a sled, but he jumped off. He doesn’t like the sled because he goes too fast and it was really steep. I hit my face in the snow twice when I sledded.  That hurt a little bit.

Even though it is snowing today, ski season is over for us. Timber will have a good time if he comes with us on other trips.

Tally Likes To Stay on the Porch

This is Tally. She is 9 years old and has hip problems. She can’t walk very far, so she stays on the porch most of the time. In the picture you can see the old chewed up shoes that Grandma and Grandpa gave her. I don’t like to eat shoes, but the dogs like to chew on them. (Shoes are for your feet, not your mouth!). Tally is a yellow lab, and she is fat. She eats a lot. She tries to steal Pepper and Lou’s food. Pepper and Lou bother Tally a lot. Tally growls and barks. Here is a story:

Once upon a time, there was a boy dog named Bogey. He had a daughter named Belle. Belle was a good dog. Then Tally came along. Then Lou came along. Then Pepper came along. And Belle died in a wind storm. Now Tally barks and growls because the other dogs annoy her. Lou and Pepper are spazzes. Tally sometimes goes to the creek, and Grandma and Grandpa are glad she goes, because she gets some exercise. That way she won’t plump up any more.

The End.

We call him “Timby”

Timber is my dog. We got him at the pound when he was ten months old. I liked him because I thought he was cute. My mommy thought he couldn’t hear, because he wouldn’t come when you called him. But now we know he can hear because he comes now. He goes to the farm a lot and plays with Lou and Pepper (you can see them in earlier posts). Timber is a boy, but he can’t have any puppies because he had surgery. He has not met Rocky and Sierra, because Rocky and Sierra are way too small for him. I’m afraid he might hurt them. Here is a story:

Once upon a time there was a girl and a boy and a mom and a dad. They looked for a dog for two or three weeks. They found Timby, but his name at the pound was Noah. The family adopted him and renamed him Timber. He’s happy, and the family is happy. Now Timber tries to dig under the fence and be a silly dog. The End.

Lou loves mandarins!

This is a picture of Lou. She is a girl dog. She is a yellow lab, and she is one year old. She jumps a lot and sometimes jumps on people. Sometimes you have to hit her on the nose to stop her from jumping. She lives on a farm with Pepper and Tally. Here is a story:

Once upon a time there was a dog who liked to eat mandarin oranges, but she couldn’t peel them herself. So the grandma had to peel them for her. She eats them out of your hand. Mandarins make her really happy. She played with my dog all weekend, but my dog doesn’t like mandarins. Me and my brother made a hotel out of cardboard that Lou destroyed. I think Lou is a spaz.

Rocky and Sierra

These two puppies are named Rocky and Sierra. They are three and a half months old and are brother and sister. They live with my best friend. They have a lot of room to play which is how you should keep dogs. They have a little crate where they sleep and play and bark. They bark a lot! Especially Rocky. Sierra likes to lay under the table. Rocky stays in the crate a lot. Here’s a little story:

Once upon a time, there was a girl and a mother, two brothers, and a dad. They ordered a puppy, but they came home with two, and they were happy. The kids named the puppies Rocky and Sierra. (My swimming coach’s name is Sierra, too). Today Rocky hit his sister with his paw, and she growled and growled, because he kept hitting her with his paw because he wanted to play. And they lived happily ever after.

This is Pepper

Dogs are cool, so treat them with care and niceness. Give them a lot of room and a bed. Take them on a walk two times a day. Or one, because sometimes you don’t have time. This is a picture of Pepper. Pepper is only one year old, and she is quite cute. Pepper is really fast. She leaps, and she is small. She’s awesome! And she hates leashes. She lives on a farm. She has a friend named Lou. Here is Pepper’s story:

Once upon a time there were two old dogs, one grandma and one grandpa. They thought that one of the dogs would die, and they decided to get a new dog, a puppy named Lou. (My cousin named her). Lou was very small. The grandma and grandpa decided Lou needed a friend more her age. So they got a new puppy, and that puppy was Pepper. One of the older dogs died, and the grandma was really sad, but she has three other dogs that she cares about very much.
